Our Founder
Elizabeth Dinkel has built a career defining what timeless design looks like in the modern home. A graduate of Georgetown University, she went on to study at the New York School of Interior Design and has been called a true American classicist, a designer whose work marries the discipline of traditional architecture with the ease of contemporary living.
Her portfolio spans the country, from Santa Barbara and San Francisco to Jackson Hole, Hawaii, and the East Coast, and ranges from modern beach houses to colonial revivals. She has been recognized by House Beautiful, Elle Décor, Veranda, and California Homes & Interiors as one of America’s leading interior designers, and she serves on the boards of the Institute for Classical Architecture and Art (ICAA) and the Design Leadership Network (DLN).
Meet Elizabeth
Founded in 2004, Elizabeth Dinkel Design Associates is a full-service interior design studio based in Los Angeles, working with clients across the country to create homes that feel both elevated and entirely their own.
Our work draws on the language of classic American design: proportion, craftsmanship, and a sense of permanence. At the same time, we stay true to how people live today.
Quality and attention to the smallest detail guide everything we do. From concept through installation, we manage every phase of the design process, so the finished home reflects the care that went into each decision along the way.
Our projects range from modern beach houses to colonial revivals, with work completed across California, the Mountain West, the East Coast, and beyond. Whatever the style or scale, our focus stays the same: thoughtful design, honest craftsmanship, and a finished home that feels like it was always meant to be.
